Our journey from humble beginnings to an award winning brewery on both the national and global stage
Beer in high fffidelity since 1997
Triple fff launched in 1997. The characters involved since then have been almost as numerous as the beers produced but founder Graham Trott remains a shareholder alongside Managing Director Xen Gladstone of Triple fff Brewery Limited.
Why Triple fff? fff is the musical instruction for very loud, which is how we like our music and our beers - a perfect blend of two of life's great pleasures. Loud is very different to noisy and you should enjoy a distinct, strong and clear taste to our beers.
Beers that are loud but not noisy
From small beginnings with a five barrel plant we now operate both a 50 barrel plant and in 2023 commissioned a brand new five barrel plant to enable us to stay true to our creative roots.
The railway station still operates on the stunning steam heritage Watercress Line which runs ten miles between Alton and Alresford only 100 meters from us.
Our beer names are influenced by fabulous music from iconic musicians across the ages.
The only (worthy) exception in the naming of our beers is our Best Bitter - Alton's Pride, winner of the Supreme Champion Beer of Britain, The World Beer Awards 2025 and SIBA's Best Bottled British Ale 2025.
