What's up?
Good to have some signs of life coming back to trade for most of our customers after a September that was pretty forgettable for most... Hopefully the prospect of a break in the rain means folks are out and about over the weekend. It seems like, on balance, the last 10 days have been a better for most. Long may it last.
In terms of Autumn Fruit - [the artists behind the names in subject line] - two of our specials at the moment are (I think) marvellously fruity - from the Cara On (pronounced Carry On - just spelled this way as a pretty unique beer in using 100% Cara Gold Malt) - I get dried mango and almost a sense of marmalade at the end. From the Respect, it is more blackberry-cherry notes. Both have a super dry finish - of the two the Cara On is more moreish I think, probably because it is a touch sweeter - but tons going on in both these beers...
What's On? - actually before that - a useful link to all our pump clips Pump clips_website images - Google Drive might be useful occasionally

What's about?
We've been interviewing for a brewer - we need someone for Graham to pass his incredible knowledge on to, and we need more people-power in the manufacturing as we are busier than we have been in many, many years... Anyway, one of the candidates we spoke to was a person in the US. Interesting in lots of ways in that they had pretty geographically varied experience. Their firm belief is that the US is past peak NEIPA and the big double IPAs etc... Interesting in lots of ways (for us) as a) US trends have typically been a few years ahead of UK; b) whilst this means a slew of breweries there are closing, the interesting part is what is coming next; c) possibly too early to tell, but this person's view was that Pilsners were just taking off...
If only we had.... No, wait...
Cans and Kegs out in the next 10 days or so....
In the meantime, wish you a fabulous weekend and hope we can bring you some beer next week.
